Annie and Jack

We were so excited this weekend to have an opportunity to work with Annie and Jack Nelson! They are expecting their first child next month and gave us the opportunity to capture some fun moments between them and their awesome golden retriever, Max. We look forwarding to photographing their new arrival and developing a cool and unique birth announcement just for them!

50th Wedding Anniversary

We recently had the opportunity to capture the 50th wedding anniversary and vow renewal of two wonderful people, Larry and Loretta Schlicker. We can’t thank them enough for allowing us to share in the celebration of their special day and we wish them many more years of wedded bliss!

Catching Up....

Before we begin talking about our current projects, we wanted to take a few minutes to show some of our highlights from our recent sessions to get you more familiar with our work.


Fall 2008
We had the opportunity to photograph the wonderful Emery family at Mills Race Village in Northville one evening. The colors were peaking, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, and the aroma hinted of freshly fallen leaves. We spent our time shooting everyone around the various bulidings and chasing their three beautiful girls to capture some candid moments. The venue provides many unique unique backdrops and we are looking forward to returning this spring.

Winter 2008-2009
We were so excited to be given the opportunity to document three beautiful new baby arrivals this winter. Capturing their precious faces and delicate features for announcements or photographic prints is always a joy for us.

Hello and welcome to our new blog! Platinum Imagery is comprised of two photographers, Melissa Tremblay and Jim Bicego, who have over 15 years of photography experience. A quick introduction…

Melissa has worked in the advertising industry for the past 20 years and specializes in contemporary corporate portraiture, architectural and product photography (http://www.melissatremblay.com/). She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, was raised in Essexville, Michigan and has since found herself in the metro Detroit area.

Jim is formally educated as an engineer, has worked in the semiconductor and automotive telematics fields and has a natural affinity for the technical aspects of this craft. His background has been focused on film-based large format landscape, urban, and architectural fine art photography (http://www.jimbicegophoto.com/), and still lugs out his heavy gear on extensive hikes when the opportunity arises. He was raised in Indiana, Pennsylvania and has called himself a resident of Michigan for the last 10 years.

Melissa and Jim have combined forces to offer unique, contemporary wedding and portrait photography in the metro Detroit area. We’re hoping this blog will not only allow us to catch up with our customers and keep them up to date with our latest projects, but also announce any new product offers, specials and have the opportunity to post answers to questions that are frequently asked of us.
